Talking beer, history, and family with Adam Sommer of Evergreen Farm Brewing

Along with the freelance work, I’m a Correspondent for 89.9 WCBU/Peoria Public Radio. I got an official introduction to journalism while studying at Columbia, and I enjoyed talking with people, so I decided to stick with it in some capacity!

I recently got the grand tour of Evergreen Farm Brewing with owner and founder Adam Sommer for a feature story with WCBU. Based in Metamora, Illinois, Adam is the fifth generation of Sommers to live at the property, and to stay on pace with current trends, he converted the land from farm to farmhouse brewery.
